Alba Instrumentation were called in to help install some flowmeters for Kestrel Environmental Services Ltd on behalf of United Utilities.
The ability to measure flow through the pipe with Ultrasonic Liquid Flowmeters without the need to break into the pipe has reduced downtime and costs significantly. The use of a GPS data logger also allows downloaded data to be viewed over the web, allowing remote sites to be regularly verified to see exactly what flows are going through the pumping stations and where these flows are coming from by using several units at different sites flows can be traced through the network to their final destination.
